Modern slavery policy

This policy outlines our commitment to fair, respectful, and ethical working practices for all employees, freelancers, and partners. We recognise that modern slavery can occur in any industry and are committed to preventing exploitation in all forms.

This policy applies to all staff members, freelance collaborators, contractors, and any third-party suppliers working with our company.

1. Our Commitment to Fair Work

  • We pay all staff and freelancers above the UK Living Wage, regardless of age or contract type.
  • We are transparent with our financial decision-making, including how we set project budgets and freelance rates.
  • All freelancers and employees receive clear, written contracts before work begins.
  • We do not permit unpaid work, trial tasks, or speculative projects without fair compensation.

2. Respect and Inclusion

  • We treat all team members with respect and dignity, regardless of role, location, or background.
  • We foster an open and inclusive workplace culture, where everyone feels safe to raise concerns and aim to remove any
barriers that could prevent talented individuals from joining our team.

3. Awareness of Modern Slavery

Modern slavery includes forced labour, human trafficking, and exploitation through coercion or unfair working conditions. It
may appear in creative industries through:

  • Unpaid or underpaid freelance work
  • Excessive or unrealistic deadlines
  • Misuse of internships or informal work arrangements
  • All team members are encouraged to learn how to recognise signs of exploitation.

4. Reporting Concerns

  • Any team member who suspects exploitation or unethical labour practices should report it to management immediately.
  • Concerns will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and treated confidentially.
  • If necessary, we will report serious concerns to the UK Modern Slavery Helpline (08000 121 700).

5. Ethical Partnerships

  • We aim to work only with suppliers, agencies, and collaborators who share our values.
  • When working with subcontractors, we expect them to uphold the same standards outlined in this policy.
  • For projects over a certain value, we may request suppliers to confirm their compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
