2023/24 was another very strong year for Winter Design, seeing expansion of our team, further growth of the business, refining our ethos and values and of course welcoming a number of new ‘good zone’ clients. Being big believers in supporting purposeful organisations, and as we transition towards becoming a B Corp, we’ve made a pledge to donate 1% of our annual profits to a worthy cause every year. The worthy cause we’ve chosen for this year is The Ocean Cleanup and on 30th April 2024 we sent them a donation of 1% of our profits for 2023/24.

Why The Ocean Cleanup?

This incredible non-profit organisation designs and develops advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic, by engineering mass cleanup systems and river interception solutions.

“Every year, millions of tonnes of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans – legacy plastic – isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated.”

Not only are The Ocean Cleanup actively tackling a horrendous environmental issue, they are also researching the levels of plastics in the ocean, where the pollution continues to stem from and the impact of the chemicals within our water streams.
