Food 4 Education website

Food for Education (F4E) are a Kenyan organisation that have built the largest kitchen in Africa. When we started working with F4E they were feeding around 300,000 school children every day. By December 2025 (around a year later) they exceeded their targets, serving over 600,000 meals every single day — well on track to achieve their goal of feeding a million school children every day by 2027. We couldn’t be more proud to have supported F4E’s outstanding impact.

This project arose off the back of a two day hackathon, as F4E originally needed a quick freshen up to tackle a number of specific problems on their old website. Within two days, we secured the site, removed a load of bad plug-ins, removed malware, updated PHP and WordPress core, then made a range of key design changes allowing them to confidently promote the brand during a key award nomination (the Skoll Award, which they won). Since then, we’ve completed a full scale re-design and re-build following a successful re-brand from our partners Mighty Ally.

Online donations done well

As with many of our clients in the charity sector, a key element to this build was a visual signpost across the website to ‘Donate’. This call to action takes the visitor to an embedded donation form, maximising fundraising potential.

Hard-hitting stats

Across the website, statistics powerfully demonstrate the many impacts F4E have made. Through animated rolling counters and considered layouts, we ensured these number-focused pages were a joy to read through – no walls of text here!

We kept every page feeling lively through playful type hierarchy, colourful illustrations, and high resolution images. This combination mirrors the energy of F4E’s initiative, as they boldly tackle such an important systemic issue.
