The WordPress platform relies on ‘themes’ (kind of like templates), each offering different design, styles and features. Some pre-made themes are actually quite good whereas others are not so good. We create our own themes from scratch for our clients, because we know that no two clients are the same; each client has a very unique and specific set of requirements which will not fit into something which has been pre-defined.
We don’t use frameworks or page builders. Whilst these have been designed to be helpful, every time we review an example in use we see numerous glaring issues, ranging from bloated code to broken features which all end up contributing towards poor performance of the website. The main culprit being pages taking too long to load, which we know leads to visitors leaving a website.

How much does custom WordPress web development cost?
As custom WordPress web developers we’re able to take on an array of web development tasks, from individual feature development to complete web builds from scratch. Usually our clients come to us for a complete website; they want us to design the site for them, then build and maintain it too. Some WordPress web developers will provide a website which uses an off-the-shelf theme or template. We don’t do this; we design and build them from scratch. As a result our prices may be higher than some others, but we believe there are significant differences between an off the shelf service and a bespoke service.
