Milk Publicity website

PR agency Milk Publicity create show-stopping campaigns for film and TV, with services ranging from Personal PR and Corporate PR right through to photography and organising events.

With an impressive client list, including Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders, Whitechapel, Michelle Dockery and Hugh Bonneville, Milk Publicity needed a professional website to shine the spotlight on their work. We were absolutely delighted to take on the project. We incorporated modern typography, clean and dynamic layout design and subtly responsive animation to create an editorial-style narrative which complements the brand, backed up, of course, by a fluid user experience.

A window-width, fixed-position hero image, revealed through a cutout mask of the Milk logo, is the homepage’s initial head-turner and offers an original welcome to the site. Scrolling down, visitors are presented with an overview of what Milk Publicity are all about – offering insights into their expertise, key projects and recent news, including a streamlined project snapshot and a bite-sized overview of services. An array of interactive features enhance the user experience, including image-zoom on mouse-over for the recent news stories, whilst images adjust from black and white to full colour for projects and services, as descriptive excerpts animate into view.

Exploring the site is quick and easy thanks to a fixed-position navigation bar, complete with drop-down menus which allow access to service pages in a single click, minimising scroll time and clicks. Visitors to the impressively-stocked projects page are presented with Milk’s recent work via images organised in a three-column grid. Meanwhile, the services overview page incorporates a collage-style layout of images, text and links to entice the visitor with a magazine style design.

Vibrant service and project-specific pages make the most of the client’s stunning imagery, by including galleries in both masonry and slideshow layouts which open in pop-up lightboxes, punctuated by pull-out quotes and snappy, striking and impactful text.

From press features to glamorous launch events, the news page keeps readers in-the-loop, with high-res window-width images and additional links to external interviews and other sites – a great SEO booster. The most recent news posts are readily-accessible from any page of the site, as they are positioned neatly above the footer.

The people behind Milk Publicity’s magic are presented on the team page. Our custom-coded ‘media objects’ (which allow images and text to sit comfortably together, without the issues that text-wrap presents) are used to pair personal yet professional portraits alongside short bios.
