Parker’s Adventure is an interactive adventure trail organised by Bristol Animal Rescue Centre. This trail is a celebration of their 135 year anniversary and an opportunity to attract new donations to the charity.
We worked closely with the team at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre to create an engaging WordPress website that guides visitors around a trail, featuring famous landmarks across Bristol. The website brings the storyline to life through custom illustrations of the venues and animated characters which can be found on the trail, resulting in an immersive digital vs real-world experience for the public to enjoy.
At each stop along the trail participants will find a QR code to scan using their smartphone, allowing them to access a hidden animation on the website that’s related to the venue they’re visiting. Below the animation, participants will find a ‘Quizzle’ (as in Brizzle) which they must answer before moving on to the next stop on the trail. Conveniently, each animation holds the clue to each Quizzle.
The homepage features a bright and colourful video introduction to Parker’s Adventure. Each of the venue QR codes open playful animations which are fun for all ages and encourage participants to continue the trail.
Visually engaging content
The look and feel of the site will put a smile on your face thanks to the high contrasting colours and fun typography.
The website also includes an informative overview of sponsor logos of the organisations who are supporting the trail. Also featured is an overview of celebrity voiceover profiles who play the characters of the trail, including Sir Tony Robinson, who is the voice of Parker the dog.
Easy donations
Simplicity is key to this website; across the top of the page the menu features three key links: Home, About and Sign up. To the right hand side there is a prominent Donate button which opens a pop-up donation box, inviting visitors to make donations directly through the site.
